Who we are
Occupational Health London ("we", "us") provides occupational health consultations and assessments for employers in London and across the UK. This policy applies to personal data collected through this website, by phone, or in connection with a consultation or assessment.
What we collect
- Contact details you give us in an enquiry, booking or contact form (name, email, phone number, company name)
- Information about your enquiry, including the service requested and any details you choose to share
- Special category (medical) data you or your employer share as part of arranging or carrying out a consultation or assessment
- Basic technical data (such as pages visited) if analytics are enabled on this site
Why we collect it, and our lawful basis
We use your details to respond to enquiries, arrange and deliver consultations and assessments, and meet our record-keeping and professional obligations. Where we process medical information, we rely on your explicit consent, or on a legal basis permitted under Article 9 of UK GDPR for health data processed by a health professional for the purposes of preventive or occupational medicine. Where a report is prepared following a management referral, what is shared with an employer is explained and, in most cases, agreed with you first.
Who we share it with
Medical information is shared only with the clinician carrying out your consultation, and, where relevant and agreed with you, the employer who requested a report. We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with service providers who help us run this website or manage bookings, under appropriate confidentiality and data processing terms.
How long we keep it
Clinical records are retained in line with professional and regulatory retention requirements for occupational health records. Enquiry and booking data not connected to a clinical record is retained only as long as needed to respond to your enquiry, unless you ask us to delete it sooner and we have no legal obligation to retain it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask for access to, correction of, or (in some circumstances) deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe your data has been mishandled.
